Big change for me.

As some of you know I've been doing some crazy stuff since surgery.  Yesterday was my 10th trip to  Cedar Point the amusement park this summer.  5 of my little grandkids went and we all had a wonderful time.   I rode the Top Thrill Dragster which I swore I would never do.   Luckily I was able to spend a day with my NC grandkids that came here to avoid the bad weather.

In the last week I have hit 104 pounds lost from my highest and I'm 1 pound from my Dr.'s starting weight to hit 100.

Today tops it all I gave my 2 weeks notice at my job that I've been at for over 9 years.  Most of my family and friends are in shock!     I have been wanting to do it for a long time but it was my security.    My new job will be taking care of my grandchildren.    I think it will be alot harder than sitting at my desk dealing with people all day but yet I know the kids are safe with me.

Am I nuts or what??

W O W     Yes, those all sound like crazy stuff....   sounds like  you have really taken the bull by the horns and are wrestling it down to the ground....   Good for you...  I like the idea of having safe grandchildren..   A huge priority in life....

Riding the coasters at Cedar Point is one of my "wants" in life...   Some of them are soooo amazing, scary and exhilerating....  all at the same time...  lol

CONGRATULATIONS  on your weight loss too.  That is wonderful....

Take care of those Grands...  children are so precious....  Jobs come and go...

Thanks Millie!    It has been a blast this summer.

That was my thought as I gave my notice with lots of tears yesterday the kids are more important than any job!

Melissa,

That's a whole bunch of WOW's rolled into one posting. Good for you on everything.

Your new job will be wonderful. Harder - sure, in many ways, but the rewards will be outstanding.

Annette,

I love reading your posts with your grandkids.   I decided they will not be little for long.  Lexi is 7 going on 17 as it is.   Her and i have been to Cedar Point so much some of the workers didn't realize I had 4 other grand kids.  lol   Her baby sister is just 1 1/2 so I know I will have my hands full.   I have the possibility of having 3 of the grands and 5 step grands why parents work!   I'm starting out with the two and the other kids have said well we might switch too.  lol

I'm glad you have your surgery scheduled!!   Take care of yourself and you will be playing hard with those kids again soon..

Thanks Margo!
Lexi also lived with us and her mom for the first two years of her life so we have a special bond.
I'm sure with Lex being in school Amanda and I will grow close also.  Logan lives a mile behind me and he loves his gramma time.  The other two I hardly know because they are in NC.  When they were getting in the car to go home to NC yesterday Bowen said no I don't want to go home I like it in OH.   Makes me sad.

PS are you thinking Great Dane yet?

Judy,
That horse picture was a funny one.  I was out running around the pasture so the horse would follow me so Lexi could go faster on her.  Next time you are headed to MI you will have to stop by and see all the horses.

You have also made some big changes this year and you sound much happier too!!
Thanks!

You'll never be sorry!!!  I quit work to raise 4 of my grandchildren.  Most people think I'm nuts but who cares--now they know for sure what they just suspected all those years!   I think it is the biggest blessing in our society to be a guiding influence on our precious ones.  So few grandparents have that opportunity these days.  Embrace it!!  God Bless You.     Deb
